Allen Meadows - Score: 93 (2014 June)

Reduction flattens the fruit and I would strongly suggest decanting this if you're going to try a bottle young though I would also strongly suggest that you wait at least 5 years first as it would be a shame to drink this beauty too young. On the palate there is outstanding size, weight and concentration along with an almost pungent minerality that adds lift to the energetic and hugely long finish. This is a relatively cool and restrained 2012 and as such it's very Chevalier in basic character.
